Wet ESP

Clyde Bergemann’s Wet Electrostatic Precipitators (WESPs) are used for simultaneous removal of acid gases and particulate matter. They are particularly effective in removing fine acid mists and fine particulates, which cannot be collected as efficiently with a dry ESP. A WESP also offers the additional benefit of some heavy metal removal.

Clyde Bergemann’s WESP design maximises removal efficiency with a minimal pressure drop, water consumption, and power consumption. Both vertical and horizontal flow designs are available which gives flexibility to eliminate site or space limitations during installation. The RIGITRODE electrodes and MODULOKTM collecting plates maximise the life of the unit with their superior durability and corrosion resistance. Coupled with the latest high frequency power supply technology, Clyde Bergemann’s WESP provides unparalleled performance and reliability for a variety of utility and industrial applications.

Features:
  • Horizontal or vertical flow orientation available to minimise site limitations
  • Simultaneous multipollutant removal in one unit
  • Clyde Bergemann’s proven mechanical, control, and power systems
Benefits:
  • High removal efficiency of fine PM (>99.9% achievable)
  • High removal efficiency of HCl and H2SO4 acid mists (>95% achievable)
  • Removal of heavy metals such as mercury, cadmium, and arsenic
  • Eliminates issues associated with high resistivity dust
  • Reduces cost of upstream APC equipment
