Spray Dry Absorber Systems

As multiple regulations are slated to be implemented to regulate acid gas emissions (Hydrogen Chloride, Sulfur Dioxide, etc), Clyde Bergemann offers the Spray Dry Absorber (SDA) for high removal efficiency of the acid targets in the flue gas.  Clyde Bergemann provides an improved SDA design with a proven track record of enhanced performance. CBPG scrubbing technology removes acid gas pollutants and heavy metals from utility, industrial and waste-to-energy flue gas streams through the use of a calcium based reagent for capture onto particulate matter and then collected downstream in a particulate collection device.  Clyde Bergemann has installed over 30 Spray Dry Absorbers over the past 20+ years.

Clyde Bergemann’s Spray Dry Absorber (SDA) scrubbers use the principle of liquid chemistry for high removal efficiencies of the flue gas Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Hydrogen Chloride (HCl), and Sulfur Trioxide (SO3).  The SDA provides better lime utilisation than other scrubbing technologies.  Turndown to 30% can be achieved through the triple atomisers and inlet louver dampers compared with 60% full load with single atomiser.  In-house Computational Fluid Dynamic modeling is conducted to optimise the disperser swirl vanes for intimate contact between lime slurry and flue gas.
