Added value along the process chain
Used to meter ash into a vacuum conveying system, an ash intake valve mounts directly below the hopper outlets. The Clyde Bergemann Type HC ash intake valve is used for high capacity applications. The Type HC ash intake valve is a material handling valve that incorporates a swing disc design. The swing disc rotates the disc away from the ash flow when opened. The abrasion resistant gate and seat are replaceable and can be serviced without removing the entire valve from the hopper thus reducing maintenance requirements. The ash intake valve is cylinder operated and controlled by a solenoid operated valve. The solenoid valve is equipped with a manual override feature, which allows for local operation of the valve without applying electric power to the system.
The Clyde Bergemann SmartFeed system delivers highly accurate levels of material injection in either a continuous or batch system. Used for a high variety of materials including pulverized coal, fly ash, copper concentrate, lime & limestone, alternative fuels and returning recovered materials for recycling or reprocessing. Available for a wide range of industry applications, the SmartFeed can achieve high accuracy levels of +/- 0.5% by weight. Two vessels are generally used. An upper lock vessel gravity feeds material into the pressurised dispensing vessel which in turn dispenses into a variable speed SmartFeed dispenser which accurately delivers the material into the pipeline for injection. Transfer distances can be up to 500m with back pressures up to 30 bar(g).
Used for on/off control, the PERMA/lok 5 valve is designed for heavy duty material handling applications. The PERMA/lok 5 valve features a spring loaded dual disc and seat design for better sealing capabilities. The design also features hardened seats and discs that slightly rotate when the valve is cycled. This rotation provides a self lapping seal.
The PERMA/lok 5 valve can be used for both vacuum and pressure applications. The dual discs rotate away from the material flow when opened. The valve is cylinder operated and controlled by a solenoid operated valve. The solenoid valve is equipped with a manual override feature, which allows for local operation of the valve without applying electric power to the system.
Where there are requirements for a number of hoppers for material handling our Dump Valve provides the solution. The Clyde Bergemann Dump Valve enables a number of hoppers to be fed in series without the need for additional bends. It has two operating conditions: ‘dump’ to silo and ‘straight through’ to further silos.
One valve is installed at each delivery point in the line, except the last, which requires a Terminal Box. Each delivery point will subsequently be fed or by-passed in accordance with the demands of the automatic control system.
The Dump Valve is actuated by a standard heavy duty air cylinder. When in the ‘straight through’ condition the conveying pipeline is sealed by a self-inflating, easily replaceable seal. This maintains the dust free characteristics of the system during the delivery cycle. System extension or re-arrangement is simplified by the complete inter-changeability of the Dump Valves and Terminal Boxes. Materials of construction vary to suit applications.
Mounting Flange Details: Fabricated Mounting Flanges are used to secure Dump Valves and Terminal Boxes to intermediate/termination points and are available in a number of sizes.
