Oscillating Sootblower

The Oscillating sootblower is designed  for the selected cleaning of specific boiler segments with heavy fouling in power plants, waste-to-energy facilities, biomass stations and pulp and paper mill.

The key feature is the oscillating movement of the cleaning element.

Principle of cleaning

  • The blowing tube with two high-performance nozzles is oscillated (PS-P/RS-P)  
  • The blowing process begins as soon as the two nozzles have passed through the boiler wall
  • During the blowing process the blowing tube continues to oscillate and move into the flue gas path
  • On reaching the front-side end position the direction of movement changes and the blowing tube returns to its rest position

  • The blowing tube with two high-performance nozzles is equipped with high performance nozzles over the whole length and is movably supported in the flue gas path
  • The blowing process begins as soon as the two nozzles have passed through the boiler wall
  • During the blowing process the blowing tube continues to oscillate and move into the flue gas path
  • On reaching the front-side end position the direction of movement changes and the blowing tube returns to its rest position
