Clyde Bergemann Power Group takes off at the VGB Congress in Stuttgart, Germany

Wesel/Germany, August 2008
The destination is neither New York, London nor Shanghai - Clyde Bergemann Power Group (CBPG) is heading for Boiler Efficiency, Air Pollution Control, Materials Handling, Energy Recovery and Vaccum Belt Filter. All these terms stand for the five product units associated with CBPG. With a wide range of systems for on-load boiler and flue gas cleaning, ash removal, waste heat recovery as well as dewatering of products out of flue gas desulphurization, the Group embraces important parts of the value-added chain along the fossil fuels’ combustion process. The Group’s new image ad reflects this broad solution know-how from a different perspective and similarly with a typical airport departure board, the names of the five product units are listed as destinations, all ready for boarding.

In relation to this, the motto for this year’s participation at the VGB Congress ’Power Plants 2008’ is ‘Take off with Clyde Bergemann’s Clean Energy Solutions’. One of the highlights at the company booth will be a virtual ‘journey‘ through the combustion process. Boiler process simulation software gives a deep insight into which effects have varying process parameters to heat transfer, emissions, corrosions and deposit formation. Recently, CBPG entered into a cooperation with RECOM Services who developed this simulation based process analysis software. One example of the improvements gained by incorporating simulated process data is the installation and operation of on-load boiler cleaning equipment based on predicted boiler specific slagging and fouling characteristics.

A further highlight at the company booth will be a model of the DRYCON system. As one of only a few suppliers worldwide, CBPG engineers and manufactures high capacity dry bottom ash handling systems.  Besides the general cost and environmental advantages of this technology compared to the wet bottom procedure, DRYCON offers an elaborated design where the length-width-ratio of the conveyor can be adjusted. This guarantees efficient ash cooling at maximum extraction rate.
CBPG will exhibit on booth C2 at the VGB Congress ‘Power Plants 2008’ in Stuttgart, Germany, taking place September 17-19 at the International Congresscenter (ICS).
